Christopher Hitchens on 60 Minutes: "A former coworker commented on Christopher Hitchens below somewhere; I've been thinking about him since - even picked up a used copy of Hitch 22, his memoir. He's fighting Stage 4 cancer at the moment. The 60 Minutes segment on him is here, and most engaging. A recent piece of writing on his struggles with cancer is here, focusing on his loss of voice and on the importance of speech to writing effectively (I read aloud every article I write for print, by the way - it's how I really test them out). I take great pleasure in reading anything by Hitchens, even when I completely disagree with him; I hope against the odds that he recovers.
