Burns Bog might cease to be a mere bog, and instead acquire the moniker of 'wetland of international significance', according to a new proposal that would elevate the swamp to a higher level of class. If they are successful, the site would get slightly more recognition amongst bog-savvy tourists, but mostly it's just for bragging rights at this point. Sure, it's a nice place, but being 'internationally significant' isn't the biggest draw.
