Egypt and the Canadian Position

It is our responsibility as citizens of a free and democratic society to stand up for human rights and to stand against repressive regimes that regularly employ torture and murder to control their populace. We have a good track record in that area over all, we should not stop now. If, by adding our political voice to the conflict we can prevent one less act of violence on either side then we should not hesitate to do so.
